Car Day 2012

Yep, it's that time of year everyone...CAR DAY!

As you've seen in the past, this is when Dad and I get all the Buicks out together for pictures and our own little car show. Some people think it's crazy that we own so many cars, but I'm proud of what we've done with each one and the condition they're all in. Each one shown is driveable and fires right up, each time. I hope you all enjoy checking them out as much as we do! Thanks for looking!

We started around 1:30...I went across the road to get my dad's Lesabre T-type first.


Then got out the '73 GS and the '86 Regal T-type.




Dad washing his '04 GS since it's been outside under a cover for a few weeks.

Both Rainiers are '07's. My dad's has the 5.7 V8, the other has the inline 6 cylinder.

I have to ask... What?, do you have dealer plates? If I possessed so many nice rides, economy would require some way to chose my ride daily. Dealer plates seem the only way (at least in NY)

Wow, thanks a lot everyone! It's nice to know that this group can appreciate a crazy pair of guys with too many cars...even though they're classics and modern classics . Thanks!

Dave - The Skyhawk will be done late Spring because of the engine delays, but I never did mention our newly re-acquired '79 Century Turbo Coupe! That one needs minor front end repair, paint, and new interior. So our property is stuffed with two more Buicks that weren't shown!

Sean - I wish there was a preservation grant. We're perfectly capable of upkeep on these rides but that would be ever so convenient . Also, no we don't have dealer plates. Most of them (namely the older row of cars and the Reatta) have classic plates. Makes everything easier in the end for us!

Evan - Thank YOU! I appreciate that you wanted to see the pictures. The reason the other posts photos won't show is my previous server bit the dust so the links were all broken. Along with my T-type Registry...

Charlie, funny you mention a meet and greet. As my dad and I were about to put away the cars for the day we thought of the same idea. Our property is plenty spacious for an event like that, and there's a good amount of shade.

I personally was thinking an event in late May or into June. Obviously taking a good amount of planning, but it would be a badass event, and nice to meet fellow members. I posted the idea over at LesabreT.com already. I wouldn't want to make it public exactly, but between us here on the board(s) I think would be great!

In a few days I'm going to be eligable for adoption.adopt me!
