Hey Everyone. I'm John. I'm located in the Springfield, MO area. I currently have a 1965 Riviera. its in pretty rough shape and I'll be starting a frame off resto on it soon. Still in the planning stages of the project. I'm new to buicks, especially the nailhead motors. If anyone's in my area or know of some that is and has a pretty good grasp of these oldies, any tips or info would be greatly appreciated

Welcome John! It's great to see somebody interested in the classic Riviera's. Good luck with the restoration you have a good foundation to work with. I love the 1965 and 1966 Rivi's and all I know about the old nailheads is that they have alot of torque and run along time if they are taken care of.

Welcome John!

Definitely take a look at v8buick.com for some nailhead specific knowledge. I've been working on a '73 LeSabre and playing with 455s for quite a while but don't have the nailhead experience.

Post up some pictures!
