hi. i'm a new member and just got a 64riv with cast alum wheel covers and spiners and can't get the thins off to put on new tires. i was told to just grab the wings with my hands and go back and forth sideways while puling out of the center, but have had no luck. any help with technique for link for removing the spinners would be much appreciated.
thanks, paul

? Why did this member get a negative for his question?

I wish I could help you, Paul. I know absolutely nothing about the '64 Riv wheel covers. Perhaps someone with expertise will be able to advise you.

agree

I am pretty sure what you are trying is correct, might just be "stuck" on? I do think the center comes off to get the wheel off the car, and the hubcap itself is screwed/bolted on from the back side of the wheel. Be very careful, from what I understand those hubcaps are "very" hard to find, and in decent shape cost a fortune.

You might try the "Buick Riviera - Riviera Owners Association at AACA Forums" at ...

Perfect example of why I think the merit system sucks...hell of a way to greet a new member

Yep...you got a negative from some AHole. However, we propped you up. yay

I wouldn't worry too much about the merit scores. I was up in the 40's or 50's (if I remember correctly) at one time. I certainly haven't lost any sleep over dropping to single digits. LOL !!! lol
