| Has anyone shaved the door handles off their Riv? I can not find a better solution for a door handle. I originally wanted an extruded chrome handle. Something like this But now I am considering just cutting the thing off and popping it remotely. I would rig a manual opener too but I really cant find a better door handle solution for my Riv. Anyone know any good kits out there? Here is the first one I found. http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AEOS&Product_Code=Shaved40 | |

| I like the current handle but a disturbing number of friends have been getting their cars' locks picked/busted more and more. On top of the fact that it adds to the flowing line of the riv. Oh but most of all, what a gimmick | |

| Only thing is.... the pistons you would need to install to pop the door open remotely will add weight! NOOOOO! | |

| Bah! Then my remark was awkwardly placed I'm 20yrs old, 5'11" and 215lbs....not muscle haha I was referring to the car. Longstanding debates with my friend over light sprinty cars vs steel frame muscle beasts. | |

| Some people are replacing the handles on Grand Prixs with the ones off of the rear doors on the 4 door model. Gives it a nice semi-shaved look that I think I might try. Problem is you lose the external lock so if your battery dies you better have a slim jim in the trunk. My school just got in a white Aurora that it looks like they may scrap..... Hmmm........ http://www.grandprixforums.net/threads/47146-Replace-The-Front-Door-Handles-w-A-Sedan-s-Rears | |
