Missouri Aurora owner

My name is Randy T. I own a '97 Aurora, I have had 13 altogether, I still drive the first one I bought, and the last one I bought is a twin parts car in storage. I joined this club because our cars are very closely related and I hope we can learn a lot from each other. I am also part of the staff of the Aurora Club of North America, Randy T. on there. My Aurora has 221,000 miles on it and I am in the middle of putting another motor in it. I have a Cadillac 4.6 motor and trans that will be going in it in the near future. I am using a 275 hp 4.6 with a 3:71 trans ratio, a combo only found on '04-'05 Bonneville GXP Northstar cars. I am also switching the computer to match the 3:71 trans therefore switching my Aurora to the Autobahn version and removing the 109 mph speed limiter.

I have access to lot's of parts and have lot's of parts saved back, so if you have something you need for your Buick that could also be on an Aurora let me know, I may be able to help you.

I am a manager at a small local fastlube/tire/mechanic shop. I also installed carpet and vinyl for 10 years. I could really type a lot more, but it's past midnight and I work in the morning.

Welcome, love the Aurora as well, and have been keeping an eye out for a low mileage Aurora for some time.

I've had several Oldsmobiles, and my first two cars were Ods: 1977 Cutlass Supreme and 1980 98 Regency.

My wife and I almost purchased a new '99 Aurora. It was truly a fine car and if price negotiations had gone well, we would have bought it. Instead, we purchased a new Regal GS.

Funny thing is, the day after we bought the Regal, the Olds dealer called to accept our previous offer...too late.

No...I live in New Mexico. However, before I retired and went back to school, my wife and I traveled a lot in the business we were in and we always stopped at Lambert's when passing through there. We love those "throwed rolls" / LOL

My wife is from a little Missouri town close to your neck of the woods, Van Buren. We love to raft the Current River there... Beautiful country.

Hey thanks guys! I live in Bolivar, not very far from Spfd., I did live in Spfd for a while. Lamberts is great! I was going to go the other day, but it was a very long wait, almost 2 hours. Drove by there again last weekend going to Silver Dollar City.

I host an Aurora meeting every year in the beginning of October, anyone that would want to come would be more than welcome. Usually we do some activities. There is a car show in Aurora, MO that we have gone to a few times, and we have been out to Ozarks Raceway park (dragstrip) for one of the meetings. We may be doing both this year to see how my new 4.6 works out if everything goes as planned. We even like to throw a little camping and beer (rum) in the mix.







For the mirror I would like $14.95 plus shipping. If you are interested, let me know and I will get some pics. Then if you want it I will pack it up and let you know the total with shipping. I like to use paypal if that is doable for you. I recommend insurance, but it's not necessary.

Heh, looks like Aurora hoods are aluminum as well, and Aurora owners also often abandon their hood insulator pad! (looking at your sig photo)

Yeah, they are aluminum. We call it the 5 minute hood mod.
