so my check oil light comes on for 15 seconds then turns off whenever i start up my car, always when cold, sometimes when warm. my oil is well where it should be, what up with that..

How often do you change your oil, and what weight do you use? Might try 5W-30 in the coldest months. The manual recommends this if you live in very cold climates. There is some more discussion about this here:

Thanks AA! I will try that, I live in 20 degrees in winter, my oil pan seems to have a small dent in it, and I change oil every 3k miles, other then that, that's all I can think of

Which light are we talking about, the oil level light, or the oil pressure light?

I thought you meant oil pressure. Might try changing the level sensor. It's on the side of the oil pan.

Mine comes on once in a while after starting lasting 30 seconds, it has a mind of its own. I have replaced the sensor.
