| I gotta look around and do some more research but my dad was tellin me about polishing the headlight lenses to get the discoloration off but then you're supposed to spray it with clear afterwards since all the uv protection is gone and stuff. Anyone ever done it like that? | |

| Yeah, just make sure the clear you get has UV protection otherwise they'll fade again within a few months. | |

| Yeah it's pretty neat you just got your 9-7 recently haha I've been kinda looking around for a pristine riv but I also realized that it'd be silly if I am just gonna be driving it around in midwest winters. I want to keep it nice when I do finally find something which means i'll want another vehicle. If I'm gonna have two cars to drive, I don't really want two of the same. | |

| There's a guy on YouTube that goes by "ChrisFix." He did a video on restoring head lights and It's a pretty great video. I'd try that method of I were you. He uses the clear cloat method. | |

| I used a professional/body shop grade urethane clear when I did my cornering lenses on my Riv, and the tail light on our Reatta. Yes, once you polish your headlights the UV protection is gone and they'll fade in a few months. Been almost 2 years now and my cornering lights and the Reatta tail light are still pristine. I used this first, then another brand that comes in gallons for other similar projects. This will probably be easiest for anyone doing small scale projects.

| Chris, I don't know why but that 3rd gen looks more badass than normal and it's not the color. Is there anything different about it otherwise? | |

| Just a stock IROC at the moment. The ground effects are not on the sides yet in the picture and still aren't. I've just been working on getting it primered and back together as stock. Then I'll start working on modding it in the spring. | |

| Looking to get a second car within the next few months. Right now I'm really digging the C32 AMG, but I'm open to suggestions. Budget is about 10k and I want it to be similar to the Riv, as in leather heated seats, automatic climate control, basically an unsuspecting luxobarge. RWD and stick is preferred but not mandatory. Ideas? | |

They're alright, but price to performance and/or quality isn't as appealing as some other options (another Riviera with a mild build, LSx Camaros, etc). Never really was a huge FLM fan either...

Jbird I don't suspect too many people own that car (anymore) that aren't aware of its identity. It's funny when I went to the dealer and bought mine, I didn't even realize that the front and rear emblems had the 'saabaru' badges on them. I looked right past it. I'm doing some sound modding on the car this week. I've never been into touchscreen anything but it's the thing to have now and I felt it was appropriate for the car so I sold myself on it. I'm not regretting it This isn't done yet but I decided to go simple and get a self-powered bazooka sub so I could easily take it out if I need the cargo space. I'm not gonna have two in there like in the pic... there's a story to that After not being able to find a decent place to stick the bass knob in a more conventional way I decided to mill out a hole to install it in the console. It's very convenient there. After searching around I noticed STI's have a little badge there with the gear shift pattern. It was just free space to me.
