Correct.

The overall rolling diameter needs to be the same as stock, so revolutions per mile are the same. This thread contains a wheel & tire size comparator, so you can tell what combinations will work:

looking to move to a larger rim.
I have searched but not found any pics or discussions on Lucerne 18's on a Riv.
Do these fit, my concern really is the offset, dont want them to be in too far in.
Any pics, info, opinions, would be appreciated!

I have been all thru that thread, saw the 17" rims.
I am more interested in the 18x7.5 10 spokes, I think they look great just would love to see them on a Riv before I'd order/buy any.
The stock rims fit the wheel well right, don't like if the offset/backspacing has them out or in too far.

The 18" Lucerne wheels will work and fit just fine, yes. I originally wanted the Nickel versions of those, but they're hard to come by, and still expensive used and/or refurbished. I got the wheels that are on my car now brand new for half the price of used Lucerne wheels....

I was wanting the painted version but found a good price on chrome ones...may have to keep looking.
The stock rims look decent & I have good tread, patience...

No chit. My stockers are going back on tonight before I leave the shop. I plan on driving it through the winter when the ground isn't covered in the white stuff. The winter beater Jeep is for the deep stuff   

Check out the Sport Edition SE-14's. They're easier to come by, cheaper, and have a few finishes and sizes to choose from.

SE-14's ...as paraphrased from a few guys on here, they offer an elegant sporty vibe, don't break the bank, and the styling is spot on.

These wheels are good + no front license plate..Perfect.

He made custom "R" center caps that turned out really nice. There's pictures somewhere.

You should make another set in gold. I think it would make them look a little better.

Hey Jeff, theres a Riv I've seen a few times at school with the wheels I think you're referring to. I never got to talk to the owner but they look to fit nicely, and fit the styling well enough to look like they could have been an option.

The size of rims as well as the style is purely personal preference. The only concern would be clearance of the wheel well openings.

My 20's rub when I turn the wheels completely to the right or left

I think most ppl on here would recommend at most 18s. If you do go to 22s, get ready to feel every bump in the road. Also get ready to constantly be reminded of how small the Riv's brakes look (if you get an open design).

Whatever you do, let us know how it turns out!

22" rims will make your speedy Riv feel like it has lead bottomed boots on.Fat sluggish & clumsy. jmo.

Okay im speaking from personal experience and please take it foe what its worth ....DON'T DO IT LIL BUDDY unless you modify the whole front end.... it's driving me fuggin nutz
