i noticed that my paint isn’t really as bad as i thought, it just has this think layer of some type of film or something. its hard to explain, but i noticed i when i peeled off some, the paint looked fine underneath! ill post a video link to youtube in a sec but here are some pics of the ext. painton a lighter note :) 6f119610

you can really see the thin layer of “film” in the last photo. but the car had been sitting for a long time and i think thats just some mother nature lol heres some more picson a lighter note :) 70bf4410

Your clear coat is delaminating.

You might want to talk to a paint pro or two before you presume you can. The reasons that the paint delaminates may not be corrected by repainting.

makes more sense that its just the clear coat haha i had no idea, i was thinking it was alot of residue from leaves and nature just cause the car had been sitting for years. thanks! ill be looking more into that

The car needs a complete repaint. Not uncommon. The paint on these cars had problems.

no.. i daily my kia right now but im about to order new wheel hubs, and tie rods + ends as soon as i get paid. ill be back on it next week. i really hate when i dont get to knock things off my list
