Master Cylinder Empty
PostSubject: Master Cylinder   Master Cylinder EmptyWed Jul 05, 2023 3:38 pm

Hello,

New here and to the Riviera world...

I am helping the owner of a 1983 Convertible with some issues he has and getting his car back on the road...

I am looking for a master cylinder for the car and have had no luck with local and online vendors finding the correct listing for a replacement unit.

The car is an 83 convertible with a V6 motor... it has  4 wheel disc brakes and the listing for the master are very confusing and sometimes wrong. So I do not feel comfortable in pulling the trigger with an online vendor...

The current set up is a booster with an aluminum body with a plastic reservoir..

The part number from GM was 18030428 and is discontinued.

My research has shown a cast iron unit and I believe that was used with a Hydr boost set up....  most of the others state rear drum brakes..

Any help or direct with this would be greatly appreciated ... Thank you
