PostSubject: having trouble   having trouble EmptySat Aug 02, 2008 9:21 pm

Hey friends, Im having a bit of trouble, heres the deal, i have a 97 SC Rivi, low miles on it 71000, car runs well, however it seems to bog down and lose all acceleration under heavy throtle for a few seconds, i was wondering if this is a compression problem or something else, the transaxle is good, and the SC seems to performing well too. Also i replaced both front sway bar end links, because the car was vibrating at highway speed and under moderate to heavy breaking, it stopped it well for a while but now it seems to have returned, any advice, remedies, or anyone experienced this as well?

Thanks for your help.

Also check your air filter, unless you already know it's clean. Blocked air filter and fuel filter is a bad combo.

Did you pull the MAF to inspect it? As long as you're pulling it, spray the sensor wire clean with an electronics cleaner, available at most parts stores. Don't touch the wire, just spray thoroughly, and let dry before installing.
