| i think from DP back yours is the same, but iirc your crossover is different. i have never seen a 95's engine bay so i cant say for sure. also since the series 1 cant be heavily moded like the series 2 you may want to only do light exhaust mods (like a DP and T split to a Y) to avoid losing torque. as Aaron will tell you the manifolds and DP are most restrictive, but overall our exhaust can handle more than stock applications. | Thanks. I'm a little behind the learning curve...just trying to catch up.  Did you install the headers yourself? The firewall side has got to be a nightmare! I guess it's impossible to run true duals.  Ground clearance is probably a big issue... | |

| I think the exhaust is the same, and I would think the manifolds are also the same, but would need to research this. Imo, the stock exhaust is good for most minor to medium mods. I still use my stock exhaust from the headers back. I think it's good for well over 300 hp.
I wouldn't worry about loosing torque for a few reasons. For one, we have such a good bottom end, it takes quite a change to loose the torque. Also, you can make up for a big exhaust by dropping pulley size and opening up the engine (cam or rockers). Opening the exaust causes boost to go down. Once you build your boost back up, the torque should return. But even if you lost some low end torque, it's okay. We are already fighting for traction, and the Series one builds peak twist at even lower rpms than the Series II.
I installed the headers myself with the help of a friend and his garage. It was surprisingly easy to do. No nightmares! The SLPs I used lined up perfectly with the stock exhaust... no ground clearance issues.
