| Anyone here that hasn't done their FWI yet, ever make a few passes with your air filter removed? I won't have my FWI done in time for Saturday, so I'm thinking I might take out the K&N for a couple passes. I wouldn't do it in the fall when there's a lot of trash/leaves blowing around, but the risk should be minimal right now. | |

| I've seen it done, but imo running sans filter is not worth the risk with a roots blower. The M90 has an epoxy coating on the rotors that could be damaged by particles entering the intake. | Matthew, only the filter would be removed, and the box put back in place. It would draw air the same as a stock setup, from the fenderwell, but no filter.
Aaron, my maf screen is back in place, but you're probably right, not worth the risk. | |
