| My paint on my pearl white '98' roof started chipping and peeling. I had the roof painted the seafoam green color of my '65' Riv, so it is two toned now. Nice look, I think. | |

| Great looking car. Too bad most of us too have to deal with the paint failure issue. I've heard some nightmare estimates of repainting these cars as the paint has to come off down to the metal, but I've gotten three quotes in town recently from $2200 to $2500 which isn't too bad really. I just pulled parts from a 98 "Bright White Diamond" (pearl) with a taupe interior from a local wrecking yard, and that was a great looking car. The window sticker was in the glove box of the car, and the "Bright Diamond White" paint was a $395 option in 98. It was a loaded car, even with an engine block heater. Only 148k miles and in the yard, which is too bad. The sticker was $36.5k, which is about $53k in 2013 dollars | |

| Only the trunk is peeling so far. Ive gotten a quote from a friend that works at body shop. $800 just for the trunk. $2500 for the entire car. note i only paid 2k for the car originally so i might pick up the air brush as a 5th hobby | |

| Just buy a series 3 and be done with it. Better performance and cheaper. Probably better mileage too. | |

| No luck on my riv yet, good news i still have it/ bad news, still have it collecting dust.. got a sweet deal on a 08' Mazda 3. $30 to fill up is nice but the ugly color "baby puke green" is hard to adapt to, along with the acceleration and driver comfort. Girls 01' Grand Am is gone due to the Tranny going out at 190k trade in value...$1500 sweet! new ride is 11' Kia Soul sport package? Ha! looks sporty but thats about it. 2-tone red and black interior, fancy exhaust system that im sure is stock, loud beats by dre speakers with neon lights around em that flash to the beat of music, you know the hamster car lol! .. nice "sporty" car for a chick.. or gay? | |

| Well new car "Green Hornet" has some life to it now. Custom green led trunk install looks sweet!! Enough of that!! I need some advice to get my real car back!! The trunk is peeling really bad and is parked in a corner looking so sad, on a flat tire, the interior smells of oil and grease!! but not fish grease I'm shootin for high 13's, but thats big dreams when your motor is blown!!! FML. As a rook when it comes to motor work, what should be a good first step? | |
