Has anyone tried something more aggressive on the side? Fender flares, custom skirt, etc. Not saying to make it look like a ricer, but more along the lines of the ground effects package on a 98-02 F-body. Not in your face, but not subtle either.

I attempted fender extensions,ya know, closing the gap somewhat and following closer the circle of the tire.Had to ditch the project.Extensions or flares really necessitate the use of an English wheel and careful Pie cuts in existing fender and arches.Difficult stuff.I saw some pics of a dude in Russia,of all places, craft flares outa Fiberglass.Only problem there is the different expansion characteristics of the 2 materials.Makes for tidy whiitle cracks over time. jmo tho. Steel fabrication is the way to go but ya gotta have special tools if it's to come out right, namely metal bending & shaping tools. The Riv looks super cool BTW with flares or gap closing extensions!

Who,moi? no. That's pure 18gauge sheet steel. The extensions themselves came out great but,the contour was off just enough to where I was using too much filler.I didn't have to trowel it on,but I wanted it to be closer to just needing a thin skim. Didn't come out that way.

Sorry for the delay guys, but I've been in the garage sanding away.  I actually used fiberglass filler to fill in the groove where the moulding went. I didnt want to go thru all the work of welding in metal because I would have never finished.  I also shaved the door locks and antenna.  I still need to clean up a lil overspray and put the wheel well liners and door gaskets back on. But I took her out for the victory cruise last night.

I really missed driving the riv for about 6 months. I did a bunch of maintenance on it. Valve cover gaskets, tune up, 3.4 pulley, SC oil and coupler and some other stuff. Next up PCM and exhaust

Ya know, looks real good but can you post some pics of the riv in a full side view? I'm thinking about deleting the trim but am afraid the gaps might be too large. It might not be a problem from me because my ride is lowered a bit more...

Sorry for the delay Robo, I had not checked in since I was working on my work van. Dam Fords! But here is a pic I had on my phone of a side view.  I cant complain, I think it looks cool and I've been getting some stares and thumbs up from Riv owners in my area.  I still need to wet sand with 2000 and buff the paint out. I painted the rockers with flat black paint. I need an alignment and to have the camber adjusted since I replaced my outer tie rods on both sides and also the strut assemblies. I've been procrastinating on putting the spoiler on cause I cant bear drilling holes in my trunk but I think this weekend it will b complete

Thanks Charlie, I appreciate the compliment. The key holes on the door handles and antenna are also deleted. The locks were rusted/seized. Its been in the garage for close to a year getting some maintenance done.  I still need exhaust work, FWI and a reprogrammed PCM would be nice.  I'll post some better pics once I install the spoiler.  I also want to get some buick 18s with good tires on there someday.
