| Didn't you have a problem with your charcoal canister breaking down? Your p0441 code could be and is most likely related. Recheck the charcoal canister, hoses and purge valve for restrictions.
P0102 is a MAF code. When you were working on your MAF, did you start the car with the MAF unplugged? This would set a P0102 code and would need to be cleared. I never read how you made out with your previous problem chasing a lean condition. Did you clean the MAF or replace it? Update us when you can so we don't suggest things you already did.

| Johnny, I'm having trouble following where you are in your process of repairs on your Riv'. Maybe I'm missing some of your posts, but I can't find what has been resolved, repaired, replaced, fixed or not fixed.
Why don't we start over and get your car running properly.
P0441- did you have this code before? What did you try to correct it and did it correct it for a while?

| Thats what I started with when I went to minieke and he put it on a scanner, so if you start on page one that is where we started from... okay lim I redone my gaskets a week ago and flipped out every vacuum line and rubber boots... next I had my cat removed for this procedure since it to had cracked and rattling... further more I had to replace the honeycomb in the tb since it is a must we have it in...umm lets see vapor canister and maf sensor is on its way had to order those things saved about 100 bucks thanks to amazon...I cleared the codes they came back 171 102 441 cleared it again yesterday 441 keeps showing up ...now im here still with the bad gas mileage its hurting my pockets | |

| Thanks for the update Johnny! Drive your Riv easy for now until you get these problems squared away. Scan your car again tomorrow to see if any other codes come back. Let us know what you find. Don't clear any codes for now. Just drive easy and let the PCM store any codes that it finds. Let us know when you get your charcoal canister installed. | |

| Your LTFT will drop after awhile. If the STFT stays low, LTFT will follow. It takes a few days, even a week for the LTFT to stabilize. LTFT is what the car has learned it has needed over time. STFT is "right now". The only other way to reset the trims to 0 is if your scanner has the ability to reset the Fuel Trims. IF not, after you install the MAF, disconnect the battery for about an hour. That should reset everything. | |

| That all just means it's still running lean. What's your MAF Hz reading in Park at idle? 2000 RPM? can anyone give a comparison? If you are absolutely positive that all of the possible vacuum leaks are licked, it's gotta be the MAF sensor.
If you disconnect the MAF sensor and wait until the idle smooths out, what's the STFT and LTFT like?

| His STFT drops to -3 when he unplugs the MAF, and his O2 readings go up like they should. All pointing to the MAF sensor being bad. Scroll back a few pages and he posted the pics of it. Apparently we're awaiting the new MAF in the mail and the results | |

LTFTs take a long time to settle out. Might be worth disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and letting the computer reset everything (DTCs, fuel trims). Drive it for a while and see what codes come back.

| Hmmmm. Weird. That MAF frequency is still too high for idle. It should be around 1700Hz. Have you cleared the codes/disconnect the battery yet?
Btw, I love how Deek gets a point for repeating what I've already posted.....

| Ha! It's no big deal. I was just sayin. The Deekster deserves every single point he gets Any updates? Have you reset everything yet? Everything you've done/showed us has pointed to the MAF being skewed.....A bad fuel pump won't cause the MAF to show higher than normal intake readings. There has to be something else, something missing. I would really like to have you disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes to clear out all the trash that's left from all the messing around. Get a "clean slate" and see what happens. | |
