| I like the color combo, very fresh.
I think the repeated colors in the lower body and carriage top is a great look.

| That car looks to be in perfect condition! Beautiful!
it's not quite perfect...the white stripe that surrounds the car along the black strip that separates the 2 colors is coming off little by little. i have 15 years of cottonwood tree seed sap that is/has been very difficult to remove without hurting the paint (any hints?), the vinyl roof is just starting to "come apart" near the back window (any hints?), the brakes squeak while driving (i've had them checked and cleaned 3 times-perfect condition-any hints?), the cd player doesn't work (using cassette mp3 adapter instead), the valve cover gaskets leak oil (tightened slightly-don't want to hurt anything), struts are slightly worn...i don't care because she drives like a dream! i've driven her to the high colorado mountains twice and she keeps up just fine.

the wife don't like her because..."the doors are too heavy and the hood is too long." it's fine with me-i don't want her driving my riv anyways (that's why she has the regal).
thanks for all the compliments everyone!!! i love this forum!

| Clay bar would be a good call for any sap on the finish. Don't want to go with anything too abrasive on an original paint job like that. My original comment still stands though. Gorgeous car sir. | |

Vinyl roof - replace it at some point, and the foam under it, and paint the metal with POR-15 after you grind down teh rust. Brakes - if they are worn more than 50% just replace them. I dunno if you have rotors or drums in back. Point is when you overhaul the brakes be sure to disassemble, clean and lube the calipers with SylGlyde 9silicone lube) or a mix of sylglyde and antiseize (copper or aluminum). Replace the VC gaskets when you can, they age. The CD players can be had used, search the internet (Google Shopping comes to mind - pull it and put in the part number off the chassis sticker on the player)

| the vinyl roof is nowhere near needing replaced-i can just see it starting to come apart by the back window. at this point. i'd just like to stop or slow down it's progress.
the brakes are at 70% i'm told, so at this point i'm just living with the noise for now (wife will have a fit if i put money into it right now-just had to do the digital dash).
thanks for letting me vent...still love the car-she's my everyday driver, except when there's heavy snow-then the wife drives the enclave and i get the regal (with traction control-better than the riv in wyoming winter!).
