| Hey everyone,
I have my first real issue with the Riviera in a while. Last night a rubber transmission line split sometime on my way home and it dumped what I figure was about 6 quarts of fluid. I thought it was acting strange because of the cold, but no. When I got home I couldn't make it up the driveway because the trans wasn't engaging very well, but I had 1 quart and a half leftover from the summer so I put it in there and made it up the driveway.
So today I fixed all that up and refilled with DEX VI, and went for a drive. Now I have a somewhat hard 2-3 shift, on the lines of a pro shift kit would feel like. All other upshifts, lockup, and downshifts are same as always.
Solenoid? I tried resetting the PCM, but no results. I have no known vacuum leaks at the moment, as I just tested for them.
Thanks everyone! | |

| Well, I suppose the problem is gone at least for now. The car drove great, like it always used to, today. I'm guessing it was a solenoid acting up. | |

| Could also have been air in the hydraulic circuits. Some times it takes awhile to work it's way out. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU
