| Will 15 inch rims fit around the rivs big front rotors? Before I get rid of my rough riv, I plan to swap out two of the signature rims and keep them as spares for the other riv. The other two rims are so-so. Anyway it is alot easier to find 15x6.5 cheapo rims then 16x6.5. | |

| the 97+ have 12" rotors right? plus an extra 2" clearence for caliper. it may be close but i think they will fit. can you measure the distance with the 16's at the smallest place? then just take away 1/2" _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | no they absolutely will NOT clear the big front rotors. I even had a set of 16" GTP wheels (the pre 1997 style) that did not fit due to the spokes curving back into the wheel a little. | |

| Crap, and it would look a lil silly with 15s on the back and 16s on the front. I have my eye on some cheap 15x6 steel wheels. Dont steel rims offer the most clearance? | |

I even had a set of 16" GTP wheels (the pre 1997 style) that did not fit due to the spokes curving back into the wheel a little. Which ones are these? I found a good deal on 2 97-03 Grand Prix crosslaced wheels. I dont recall the old spoked gtp wheels, but I dont want to make the same mistake. thanks

No way, this is my second Riv. I bought it from a shady "dealer" when I needed a car to commute from NY to PA( ) I have put 70k on this car in a pretty short time. The Riv is just a great all around long-drive car. But Im sure everyone here already knows that. Anyway the car was a little rough when I got it, and it obviously it a tad rougher now. Body is in great shape, one nearly inpreceptable shopping cart ding. But everything else is rough, paint peel, ect ect. I have been using the car as a rolling parts car for my other riv. I swapped the dash covers, Im taking one fender trim, and maybe a second as a spare, 3 remaining wheel caps, now these two rims. I might snag a few more parts before all is said and done. Forgot to mention, it looks like the "dealer" used a cheap bolt for the side engine mount. It looks like one bolt sheared off in the block. Also it looks like the "dealer", or some previous owner propped the engine up by the oil pan. I am still kicking myself for buying a used car with a obvious abuse. Poor Rivi. However it has served me well, quite the durable beast.
