 | Subject: How to remove the seat memory module? Mon Dec 22, 2014 11:45 pm | |
| I ran through the diagnostics in the FSM and determined it's dead. Now I can't see how to get it out to replace it! Anyone have any tips? | |

| You have to take the seat out, or at least get it tilted back far enough to get the module out. | |

| Thanks! The seat's pushed back all the way, I can't see the back nuts but at least it's tilted up quite a bit at the front, maybe enough to get it out? If I knew how the memory module was bolted in, I might be able to feel my way around. It looks like it's bolted to a bracket on the floor, is that right? | |

The bracket on the floor is part of the seat assembly. If you unbolted the seat properly, you should be able to lift the entire assembly out of the car as long as everything is unplugged. To unbolt the seat, move it all the way to the forward position, remove fasteners. Then move it all the way rearward and remove the rear fasteners. If you need the complete way to do it, let me know and I'll try and get it up on here for you. | |

| I hope you are sure that the memory module is your problem. My mirrors and seat memory were not working. The problem turned out to be one broken wire in the flex coupling between the dor and body on the driver's side. | |

| I went through and fixed some sketchy looking wires in the door jam, also ran through the diags for the module. I still need to check out the PRNDL switch, that's the only other thing that could be causing it. | |
