| Depends what you want to do afterward. I mean, you could just attack it with a dremel with a cutoff wheel.
Why are you wanting to remove the R?

| Front “R” emblem is integral to the entire front grille (part number 25634919 & costing $253.10 back when they were still dealer available)Eliminating it entirely would present additional cosmetic issues. Here's a couple of pictures of one removed from a totaled grille Physically cut out of grille and thus ruining the grille itself. Member "BigDave" (who owns a body shop) shorted/ recessed his along with other body mods. I suppose a "recess" and then a blackout could possibly be what you're trying to accomplish. Good Luck | |

| My car is the one that has the recessed emblem. As Rivit noted, it needs to be cut out as it is not a separate piece from the rest of the grill. You'll need a side cutting tool or dremel to cut it as shown in the above picture and then will just have to glue it back on afterward. It would make the most sense to remove the entire grille if all you plan on doing is having the (-R-) gold plated! If it is cut out improperly, its not that hard to ruin the entire grille. Only reason we cut mine out was to recess it. | |

Open the hood. There are Torx screws inside the grill that attach to the hood. Basically, look inside the grill on the upper chrome (above the R) and you'll see the screws.
