| I've been battling roof creak inside of the light/garage door opener. Taking out the lights in the front of it doesn't really yield anything. I found if I take out the flat panel with the garage door buttons I can push the black housing inside to the left and it will stop for a few minutes. Trying to hold the housing in place and stop the creaking I put clear rtv silicone around where the gray bezel overlaps and ends above the garage door panel, no fix. I also tried using little wedges of wood between the 2 to push everything to the left but the bezel isn't strong enough to put pressure on the black housing in the ceiling I'm guessing. I've never seen above the headliner, but is there any metal between it and the roof of the car that is close enough to put a short self tapping screw in? There is plenty of space above the buttons when the panel is snapped in so having a screw head in there isn't an issue. I found a picture on another post on the forum with the garage door cover off, the green arrows show where I have put clear silicone between the gray bezel and black housing all the way around it. | |

It's one of those things that once you hear it, thats all you hear. Sometimes the ac and radio cover it up, but not always. | |
