| I've noticed I don't have one in the trunk. Is there any way of tracing where the string was or getting a new one if it has been ripped? | |

| If the lining has been taken out and the cable wasn't fed back through its slot it could just be behind the lining. If you have already looked there I'm not sure?
If you don't get a good answer I can take a look and see what I can find out.

| Yeah if it is behind the lining/carpeting, it will be buried a little bit. It should be back there somewhere! | |

Glad you were able to find it thanks so much! yeah I went digging and dug it out. The first Riv I had the release didn't work so I had to go to the trunk every refuel, i guess i got freaked out when I didn't see it since I know the release can break down and then this is a life saver

Thanks. Yes, open the trunk and pull the liner away a bit. You will see a cable with a black tag that says fuel door release. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU
