| I've just bought my first Riviera and I really enjoy the car. It's a 97 Supercharged with crome wheels and a rog top (not convertible). 110000 miles and all the service records from day one. I wanted to post some pictures in the showroom, but don't know how?
Glad to be here and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it for a long time.

| Congrats, and welcome aboard! To post pics of your Riv, you'll need to put them up on a free site like www.photobucket.com and link to them in your post. I believe you're the first member here that owns a Riv with that top option on their car. | |

| Thanks for the welcome. I'm actually thinking of getting a Bra for the front end. With the black top, it just might compliment it nicely. | |

| Would somebody have a picture of one with a BRA so I can see what it would look like? | |

| I'm not aware of anyone making one for our cars. Sorry Dennis, didn't know your car had that top too. | |

| Yeah, I guess that's true, even so, I've done an exaustive search for an image and came up with only one. It actually looks pretty mean though. Not worth ruining the car for that. | |

| No offense but I would totally lose the fake rag top. Here's a 74 Charger that used to have a vinyl top: The rest of the paint on this car is clean, if dulled with age. Today's lesson - don't put crap on your car that traps moisture against the paint or you will get RUST. (BTW so far as I know the fake convertible top was never a factory option, it's just a thing dealers put on to jack up the price of the car. ) | |

| When time comes to get a few fresh coats of paint on it, then I will consider the advice and rip off the rag top and have it painted. Right now it's not an option (money). I see what you mean though, anything put on the car that shouldn't be there is probably going to ruin it. Still, it looks pretty good, for now. | |

In Phoenix where most Buicks are sold they get 8k for the appearance option. You know what they say "There's a sucker born every minute." I wouldn't be surprised if the pinstriping on my car was a $500 "option." We should just be able to order these vehicles from the factory and get rid of the dealers entirely.

| I like the rag top. I think it complements the lines of the Riv. | |

| Personally I think the bra looks good. Especially with the black rag top, they will go nicely together. Like I mentioned before, one day when I repaint it, I'll probably pull off the top and the bra to show off the shinny new paint. I've already gone ahead and bought one from Ebay for $20 bid with shipping to Canada it cost me $60 total. Not a bad price I think. | |

| Dude, It's your car and I think all of us members like to personalize our rides. My first car was a raggedy old "49" Ford two door post that was a rusted out deer hunting car. It was light gray with blackwall tires and a flathead 2 bbl motor. I bought it for $35 and my brother and I washed it with Comet cleanser and cleaned and vacuumed it out. A girl acrossed the street from me was dating a guy from California, and he came over and pinstriped the dash. It was so cool. We called it "the Wicked Rustspot". The thing is it was "my car". | |

| I like the way you think. I'm not very much into racing myself so I concentrate more on the looks of the car. It has to be appealing to me, don't get me wrong, the car is great right off the assembly line, but like you say, we all customize our own way. The car is powerful enough already also straight off the assembly line, so for me it's cosmetics only. The bra is on the way and just today I bought a couple of dual chrome exhaust tips at my local Canadian Tire store which I'll be putting on tomorrow. After I get a couple of other things on, to MY liking, I’ll post some more pictures to get everybody’s opinion. | |

Its your car do it the way you want. Don't let anyone else persuede you. The thing I notice about this forum is nobody really bashes anybody on things they just give their opinions. Other forums I've read if someone doesn't like it they just keep bashing them everytime they post something. Here your just going to get if they like it or not. So don't be afraid to post anything and keep customizing the way you want to.
