PostSubject: Back from the Dead :)   Back from the Dead :) EmptyFri Oct 14, 2016 4:36 pm

Hi Folks.
Been gone a while, but will be back to my Riviera Project come spring.
This is the only site for the real deal scoop on my favorite Buick. Looking forward to being here again.
The project (as it has morphed) is currently to swap out an cherry '95 interior to a not-so-cherry '98.
That said, I recall a thread in the archives from a member who either did a similar swap to change the interior color (to red?) between 2 rivs. I'd very much like to reference that thread.
Am a bit rusty using the search utility here, and don't recall the subject line, so does anyone know the project I'm remembering and where I can find it?
Help much appreciated lol
Sean

Welcome back. Use the "advanced search" function, click it at the bottom of the search box that pops up at first.

So what's wrong with your 95 interior that you want to install a lesser quality 98 interior?

Thanks, Dave.
The 95 undercarriage is cancerous to the extreme. It's had a northeast life of harsh winters long before I got it and will now be retired. The interior is exceptionally well preserved, though.
That will find a new home in a 98 Florida Riv that has a spotless undercarriage, but with an interior that (like others from a sun-drenched environment) is a bit burnt out. And well used, to boot.
Sadly that Riv was inherited by a dufus who managed to throw a rod while driving it up to New York state. I expect he never checked the oil and was enjoying the feel of a supercharger for the first time. Going to swap out the engine, also come spring.
All this has been in place for a couple of years. Just now ramping up to make it happen. Both vehicles are remote from my place, so it will be a stumbling schedule at best smile

Ah I misunderstood, thought you were saying the 95 was getting a 98 interior.
