I'm looking at the Craftsman 6 gal. 3 HP Wet/Dry Vac Set, seems fine for car detailing work except for the minimal attachments.  Craftsman also has a Micro Cleaning Nozzle Kit that looks like it would be just the thing, but I can't determine if the Vac has a 1-1/4" attachment on it.  I don't think so.  The vac description only says it has a 1 7/8 inch hose diameter.  There's also the Craftsman 5 pc Car Cleaning Kit, but does it fit the shop vac?  This is confusing.

Not really. In the US the attachments for wet dry vacs just come in the two sizes you mentioned and adapters are like $2.-or $3.- at almost any hardware store or home center.

Do you think the micro cleaning kit will work on the hose or attachments the shop vac comes with?

I think you'll need adapters. Adapters are inexpensive.

Oh yeah, I've had it for months. It works great, I'm really happy with it. The attachments are pricier than expected, but still it's not a lot of money. I'd buy it again. I used it to do the Sweet Project Cars carpet clean and finally got out some stains that have been bothering me for years.

I've also been using it in the house. The car detailing attachments work great there too. I cleaned my keyboard and monitors with it, then I took my tower outside and used the blower function to blow the dust out of my computer.
