So I got my Actron hooked up to my 95 today, and it threw some codes at me.
First, I am going to describe the issues I am having; an erratic idle that bounces around, and a non functioning cruise control. I recently installed new plugs, new PCV, changed oil and a new IAC valve hoping it would fix the idle.
My cruise quit working a while ago; I was actively driving and it was working great, and then I felt a 'pop' and it just quit working. I didn't hear anything, it just sort of felt like a vacuum line, since I experienced that on another car. So I visibly checked all vacuum lines, and they all appear ok but I have no way of testing them at the moment. Maybe blow with compressed air and listen for leaks?
Anyway, here are the codes:
P0131 Oxygen Sensor Too Low
P0171 Fuel Trim Sensor Signal Lean
I think those two are related, as it seems like the oxygen sensor malfunctioning can cause the second fuel signal error, but I'm not sure how to resolve this. Do I need a new o2 sensor?
P0561 Cruise Control Vent Solenoid Malfunction
I read about the cruise system and I understand the servo has two solenoids in it; are they servicable or do you have to replace the entire servo? Also, still not convinced that the servo is the actual issue, as I think a vac leak could cause this error?
P0705 PRNDL Switch Failure
No idea what this one is about
If anyone has an ideas on how to slay some of these, any help would be appreciated.
