| Hey guys, I just got a job over at my local radioshack and it turns out that the manager there is an electronics wiz. I mentioned a push button ignition to him and he said it would be no problem as long as I had a wiring diagram. He just went on vacation, but he said when he gets back he can set the whole thing up for me. But where can I find the right wiring diagram? It would be real nice to have the keyless entry where the cigarette lighter is so it is all recessed and just plain sweet looking. Any help on this would be awesome. Thanks again guys. | |

| It just so happens that I do have a 97 Riviera. I don't think i would have a radio shack button, maybe one of the covered and lighted switches for a cutoff so that the ignition button wouldn't damage the starter if some idiot tried to hit the push engine button while the engine was already started. Saw some of the lighted push button engine start things online for 30-50 bucks. Not sure if it would make my dash glow a crazy red though. Might be pretty cool though. | |

| You could build a time-delay circuit that uses a momentary pushbutton switch to provide sustained +12dc for say 2-3 secs. This would let you hit the switch only for a split second and provide the starter with a long enough duration. It would also prevent long starts more than 3 secs. Radio shack has little notebooks on how to build these circuits, written by Forrest Mims (don't ask me how I remembered that). _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Something like the car from Transporter 2 would be cool, that you have to enter a pin to unlock the system. Very James Bond. | |

| Push button ignition. Everything old is new again. Cars used to have push button ignitions way back when. Now it's considered new technology. | |
