Someone/something has to line you up and say "GO". Why not automate the process?

No sh@t lol. Top fuel drag cars are milliseconds apart. It's usually always the guy who gets off the line first that wins. That's all I meant by it. I've raced at the strip before. Bracket racing. Getting off that line is everything.....

In bracket racing, if both cars happen to run exactly their predetermined time, the win goes to the driver with the better reaction time. Thats how it was explained to me anyway...

My point was it doesn't matter if he left right on green or sat there for 3 secs after green. He'd have ran the same 12.75 sec 1/4 mile either way. Can't improve ET with reaction time. The tree only matters when you're racing against another driver.
