Hi Guys,

I have been lurcking for a few days and finally got signed up. This looks like a great site. I have a 96' 3.8 Litre Series II. Presently the car will not start but I'll read through information to see if I can get her going. The car has about 140,000 miles and is in decent shape except for the paint that is flaking off the top.

PostSubject: many many thanks for the welcome   Newby alert EmptySun Nov 11, 2007 2:56 pm

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. This message board seems to be just what the doctor ordered for my sick Riviera. I'll be the first to admit that when it comes to cars with computers and sensors etc that I am one lost puppy. I have been reading the repair post section and my knowledge has already increased 10 fold.

I will take some of the advice already offered and post a few photos (as soon as I can figure out how) and go to the Series II pages and post a few issues that I am aware of which the car has.

Mr. Riviera, to answer your question about where I am located in Jacksonville, I'm in the Mandarin area of south Jacksonville off of Julington Creek Road. I have had the car for over a year.

Thanks again for the warm welcome, I have created and run a vintage motorcycle restoration board in the past and it looks like this board is just as helpful with newbies and their problems.

Many thanks,
curt hollis
