hows it going, may i suggest getting a carfax report before purchasing ur Riv, You will want to look for routine maintenance every 3,000 miles at a dealership, which generally means an old person previously owned it. 97-99 series 2 with less than 100,000 miles. Just my advice. Thats the condition mine was in until i abused the shit out of it. And when ur ready to make it faster, just post another thread

Yeah im paying 4k( he was originally asking for 6) for a 96 supercharged riv with 74k miles i drove it and looked at it and its pristine... its plenty fast for me right now as it broke the tires loose stomping on it at 30 so i'll be happy for a few weeks... I'm pretty sure it was an old person car...but ill post pictures as soon as i get it home.

ahhhh.....i would really opt for a 97-99 simply for the fact that more kinks were worked out in the design and electrical system. and motor compatibility is easier.

bs
there are no kinks in the 96's wink our engines are the same series 2 in the 97+ rivs. but the transmission is a little differnt. no worse, just different. it is vacume operated not electronicaly controled. i prefer this b/c when i make more boost it seems to shift faster and smoother, the 97+ cars must be tuned to do this smile
there are different design changes in every year except from 98-99. but the main change was made in 96 when it got the L67 engine. <--thats the one you wan to have if you want to go fast or mod.

So its more than possible for me to get it to run mid 14s with a 96? What mods would be best for obtaining that and about how much would it cost?
