Hello , My name is Gene I have a 95 Riviera SC. got the car from a freind of my wife for $500. the daughter ran the engine out of oil and spun a few bearings. I just replaced the it with a remanufactured short block , had the heads redone and the engine runs great. I want to do soem mods to it from pulleys, to exhaust , Coils , Wires , Air Intake , Computer chip.

I am a 39 yr old Licensed SAT Auto Technician, i am employed by Pep Boys. I have Emissions and State Inspection License and MACS certification,
I am looking for a few guys or gals to hang out and have some fun working on the our cars.

If anyone in PA, that maybe close, it would be nice to meet and talk RIV. If anyone needs, I am willing to help them with there cars installing or doing mods with there help and a Soda and pizza or sandwich.

Here are some parts I am looking for if you can help!

After market cat back exhaust system?
Headers?
Down Pipe?

Hope to here from someone. censor

hi. Welcome to the forum.

since you have a series 1, you'll feel a bit left out for parts. Go check out seriesoneperformance.com

there are no headers for the series 1. A 3" DP will help you a lot. There are no ready made catbacks for the riviera. Corsa makes a 304 SS one of the STS that would fit on the riv, but it's 1100. For a fraction of that, you can make your own.

There are some exhaust/muffler posts in the series 2 subsection.

Thanks Jason. yes I am finding out about series 1 & 2, when I got the New short block I found that I did not recieve the NEW oil pump with it so I had to order i 3 times I recieved the wrong pump so I finaly contacted GM dealership and found out that they were sending me second generation Oil pump instead of the 1st generation., then las thing I installed before dropping it in was the Harmonic balancer and found it was BAD, then I had to find the correct balancer.

Bad thing is I have to pay to install my engine where I work, even if it did pay me 21 flate rate hours at a cost of $2100. and I only got paid $378. for the job.

Some day I will have my own shop!

I have 3 years and 6 more ASE certifications, to get my MASTER TECH ceritfication then I plan on opening my own shop.
