| well not sure the prongs were gone off a couple of plugs before the pully but the dude that changed my plugs said they look original but with new plugs and wires it was not running as strong as it should then i put the pully on and now i cant get into it at all the gm dealer had told me that the 3.4 was ok and would not hurt nothing and it came off of a 98 regal gs with factory motor and had no problems | |

Unless the dealer: A) scanned your car at WOT from 0-100 mph and logged zero KR, or B) wrote you a signed guarantee stating that running the 3.4" will cause no problems at his expense... THEN DON'T LISTEN, BECAUSE HE HAS NOT A CLUE. You might as well ask a floor salesman the same question. I had a dealership tech tell me once that draining the brake fluid and putting in fresh was unnecessary because brake fluid was good for the life of the car. Trouble is, they fail to consider that some people may keep a car 5, 10, or more years. Dealerships do not know everything about your car. Take their advise with a grain of salt - unless they are willing to back it up in writing. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| but i've gone into buick dealerships where the sales man had never ever heard of a Riviera i swear to God, i walked in and asked to see any riviera's on the lot, and he said they just got an 2008 in. (red flag right there) i thought maybe he meant 1998? so we get in the golf cart and he takes me to an 08 rendezvous i said no, a Riviera. he replies, i'vd never heard of a buick with that name. so i showed him mine, and he was in shock that they even made coupes. case and point: dont trust them just b/c the work at a dealership. ok enough of my off topic rant. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. Me too.... I really doubt that 3.4" pulley alone killed your engine. I ran one for a year with only plugs and t-stat mods. The pulley probably sped things up, but this was going to happen anyway. There had to be something else wrong with the engine that we may never know about. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |
