The wife has finally driven the 99Riv I just picked up Tuesday, she says she likes it, so I am going to have to decide whether to sell her 00 Regal with 132,000 miles or my 95PA with 82,000 miles.

I am going to start watching the local swapper and If I run up on another Riv in very good to excellent condition will buy it and sell both the Regal and the PA...

the nice thing about the '99 and '00 is they are easier to modify the computer if you ever decide to go that route. OBD-II FTW! wink

I got it as clean and shiny as possible, most of the service up to date.
She drove it several times this weekend and to work today.

She loves it. happy

Thanks for all the help. clap

I placed a ad in the local swapper this week:
Wanted: 95-99 Riviera in very good to excellent condition, would like to find one that has been garage kept, one owner with low mileage.

Maybe I can shake one out of the bushes for me.

Bert, the easiest and cheapest handling upgrade you can do is the Caddy STS strut tower brace install. About $30, a few longer bolts, and 10 minutes, and you're done. HIGHLY recommended. I have yet to see a negative comment from the many members here that have done this. It really flattens out the front end when cornering.

Glad to hear your wife likes the Riv. Mine would love her own too, but can't give up the minivan yet, with a couple younger kids here. I strongly suggest using some of the online auto sites for your searches. That's how I found my Riv, though only an hour away from me.

Thanks I will probably get the STB and instal.

As for online auto sites, I looked on Autotrader.com
NADA's site and ebay, thats all I have found so far.
Any links.

I found mine on craigslist. Be sure to search the nearby city's craigslists too.

Im back:)

We just bought the happy wife a new daily driver so I will now get the 99 Riviera....WOO HOO!
Its still in great shape. I need to replace the woodgrain around the shifter but other than that its in most excellent condition. I think it has approx 103,000 miles on it.

Bert,
Congratulations on the purchase of your 99 Riviera. They really are great cars. Consider a dash kit at some point. They really dress up the stock bland interior. That would take care of your shifter surround and more. Not sure what would look best with your gray interior, but the real rosewood looks great with my tan interior.
