There is a tech at AutoTap named John. He's pretty helpful. Call on Monday and ask for him (hope he's still there). I'm running version 2 on XP, works fine for me.

Are you able to detect the vehicle at all? Or is it just the DTCs you're haveing trouble with?

Oh.. maybe his name was Joe. It's been awhile. I think that's the right guy.

Try manually entering the VIN# and/or software serial# for the Riv.

I had a lot of issues with mine, too. But once it works, it works well. I think you'll like it.

Did you get the GM extended parameters?

For general scans:

1) IAT
2) Throttle %
3) RPM
4) Timing ADV
5) A/F Ratio
6) LTFT
7) 02(sensor 1)
8) MAFF
9) MAP
10) KR

Also, if you can log: MPH, BAR Pressure, Coolant Temp, Gear... it's nice to have, but not required.

For tuning, you might want to only use a few so the data gets logged more densely. If you try to log 12 items at once, it logs each one more slowly. If you log only a couple, you get a finer resolution for those two.

Normally trans temp runs around or a little higher than your coolant temp.

We need to see these parameters vs. time. A table or graph is needed to show this. I usually export into excel, but there are other ways.

Tip: don't use hyphens to separate parameters from values. Looks like neg!

Not sure what that means, but normally KR should be zero.
