First off - does anyone know where I can get a repair manual other than from a GM dealer?
I have had my '95 Riv SC for about 6 years now. It only has 65K miles, and is driven very little. However, it has started behaving very strangely lately.
Longtime weirdness =
1. Low Coolant Light has been on for about 5 years. It started one very warm day after the Security Alarm went off when I unlocked the door with the key. I checked the coolant level - it was, and is, fine, but the light has remained on ever since.
2. Gas gauge usually shows full, with occasional trips downwards. I use my odometer to determine when I need to buy gas.
3. Sometimes there is a low rumbling sound (like a motor or pump) for about 15 seconds right after the car is turned on. I know this sounds crazy, but it seems to happen mostly after the power driver's seat has been adjusted.
New weirdness =
1. Car stalls when I use my right turn indicator, and sometimes when I'm turning right w/o the indicator.
2. Car usually won't start if I am sitting in the seat - I have to lean in and turn the key on, and then sit down.
3. SES light has been coming on a lot lately, but car was just serviced.
Any and all explanations will be greatly appreciated! help

Best place to find a factory service manual set is on Ebay. Shop around and you can find a fair deal there.

For the low coolant light, I'd guess the low coolant sensor is bad, needs replaced. Have never done this, but I'm sure someone here has.

I have the same problem with my '95's low coolant light. It is just a senor, which I believe is located in the radiator cap ( not sure though) Mine has been coming on for about a year now, I haven't bothered fixing it yet. And yes, I would say look on ebay, I seen manuals on there all the time for our cars.

oops i just posted a reply to your questions on regalgs.org! disregard the comment about posting here happy
the sensor for low coolant is on the radiator side just above where the lower coolant hose attaches to the radiator. you can unplug it and the light should go out.

1) check the low coolant sensor, I bet it just went bad as a co-incidence.

2) gas gauges in these cars are not thebest, adn are tough to replace because they are part of the fuel pump/strainer/sender assembly. If you have the original pump you can buy a replacement sender from an ACDelco parts dealer. If not, best bet is probably a Bosch replacement pump from Advance Auto. I replased my fuel pump with a Delco when it went, and I'm sorry I did b/c the new one isnt' better (is starting to tend to read high). The Bosch has a better pump and a better sender.

3) Most likely that is the air compressor for the rear shocks. Put the car on ramps and look above and behind the rear axle, you'll find the switch (a lever attached to the rear axle and a gizmo with wires coming out). Follow the wires to find the air pump. Make sure it's not loose, then fuggedabouddit.

As for new problems 1 and 2, not idea and there is no way to diagnose that without seeing the car. However, I suspect your ignition switch may be worn out & need replaced. (THAT is not an uncommon problem).
