Speed Governor Empty
PostSubject: Re: Speed Governor   Speed Governor EmptyTue Apr 08, 2008 8:26 pm

eh, all this talk on chipped limits... I didn't know the 95's were limited. Many times I've had mine over 130. and as far as I know the computer hasn't been tampered with. I'm the 2nd owner of this car and I'm pretty sure the old guy who bought it had the speed limiter taken out.

I don't know about '95s though. I don't remember any govn'r on my '94 Regal. I don't think they started speed limiting until OBD-II.

I have a friend who had a 95 and he said he got it over 120 plenty of times. Maybe not all had governors.

My Riv was built in March '95...is that an early Riv?

Never mind though, because I'm not one to go speeding with a permit or a junior lisence.

An early Riv would be from late May of '94.

I believe on your car as on the rest, it can only be adjusted electronically in the PCM with the proper tuning equipment.
