im looking for a song list of songs with very deep hard hitting lows. im putting my 15s in the mitsu so. i want some hard hitters

What a great list of "drop bottom" tunes.

If you want some great electronic bass, you can't go wrong with any techmaster P.E.B. or Bass Mekanik stuff.

Another huge one was Don Dorsey's "Bachbusters". Tocata Fugue in D Minor hits a very clean "alleged" 4hz, but it's closer to 30. buyer beware it's hard on woofer excursion.

lol.. well.. a few of those, but I liked the ones that deviated from rap but still had some hard hitting bass lines or good lfe in general..

Stabbing Westward, Massive Attack and Digital Underground's "Sex Packets" really made me smile..

I haven't heard Fighting in the Club in forever, I forgot about all the bass in that song. Nuck if you buck, I'd much rather have not remembered...No offense but most of that kind of rap is crap. I miss the good old days of rap in the 80's and 90's. I don't think they especially have a lot of bass but I like some of Fu-Schnickens.

Look up some music by a group called Justice. Their songs all have some nice bass in them but their music is more electronic. Also, check out Elektro Kardiogramm by Kraftwerk it has some decent bass.

Caught Stabbing Westward at a small show in Philly just before they broke out with "UnGod" ... 92? 93?

Nice show - good sound. Only marred by the fact that Hall had to keep pulling away from the microphone to watch his chord changes. Kinda made the vocals a tad uneven.

Good band tho.

My suggestions:

Mad About You by Portishead
not only does it have some great bass but makes you feel like your in a James Bond movie. The people at the stoplights think it's rap until they roll up.

And if you want to hear some real freak effects, try Feel This Wrong by Portishead. It sounds like air vibrating in your car like when you go down the highway and the windows are down at just the right heights, Reverberating.

Here is a link to SVS (A company that makes home subwoofers) and they've tested some songs as well as movies to see what had the most bass. Here are some I have listened to and can attest for being hellaciously bass-tastic!

J.S. Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor

Notorious B.I.G. - Dead Wrong

Nine Inch Nails - Closer

A lot of those organ pieces are as AA said, extremely bassy. The Bach piece is easily the most boomy thing I listened to, however if you can test your subwoofer with a movie check out that list as well. I can attest U-571 being a good source for bass - I remembered why I liked this movie as a little kid! Apparently, Star Wars Episode I is also a good source for insane bass (SVS really mentioned it on that page saying they devoted a whole page just to it).
