| ok, anyone know what could cause this.
I took my car to the carwash and on the way home hit a couple WOT runs. The first one I only got 7lbs of boost and just as much knock ( and yes I changed back to my 3.25" larger pulley) and the 2nd one i got ZERO boost.
what could cause that. the BBV seems to be working fine, all vac hoses checked.

| hell no, not with no boost. The belt is fine.
I did notice this happened right after i switched back to the 3.25". I was seeing more KR on the 3.25 than the 3.0 pulley!

| Most likely you have a bad or failing ignition component and that caused some KR which caused the boost to dump.
Translation: you probably got a plug wire wet and it's in need of being replaced.

| I was thinking Boost Control Solenoid or bypass valve. | |

| do you have a press on pulley or a MPS? the pulley isnt just rotating freely? (never heard of that, but just a guess) _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. Does it sound the same? you can hear the blower, but when in boost it is noticeably louder and I was not getting that extra blower volume. I agree on the dumping boost to prevent major detonation, but my only other guess is that maybe I was too rich? or the IPW was static since I added 2% to the top end of fueling after the 3.0" was put on. I will do a full scan and check the IPW's. | |

| So you kept the fuel curve for the 3.0" when you switched back to 3.25"? What happens when you switch back to your previous (3.25") tune? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |
