| I'm looking to spruce up my engine bay after I do the remainder of my performance mods. Are there any little things that would "clean up" the overall look of the engine bay? Organize those wires some? I was thinking about getting new plugs, which would look nicer. I heard this is not such a great idea, though - stock wires are "best". I saw there was an aluminum valve cover on ZZP. Looks interesting... these are the kinds of ideas I'm talking about. Here's the ZZP link, BTW: http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=798 And just so everyone knows, I've removed my engine cover - I like it much better that way (let everyone know that my car is supercharged!) but I just want to make it look a little more interesting under there. The STB makes a big difference in looks, in addition to performance. | |

| Take off the black plastic ignition wire bracket from the blower and route the wires under the blower snout.
Cover your alternator's + output wire with split loom. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| i removed all the braces from the engine like the big one in front used to lift the engine or conect a jumper cable to. saves weight and makes a little more room. i also painted the pcv cover to match my STB in red caliper paint. i thougt of painting the coils red too, but i dont want to guess which one goes to what cyl. if i take off a plug. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | This is very easy but it had never occured to me until a friend of mine gave me a set for my bike. You can replace the screws of all the electronic parts and such (maf sensor, coils, etc) with stainless or chrome screws (get grade 6 or better while you're at it). I prefer the allen hex variety. You can really go as far as you want with it. If I'm not mistaken, I remember seeing a lot of that done to the whippled riv so maybe you can look at that to get an idea of what I'm talking about.
So far, I've only swapped out the 6 screws for the coils but they look really good.

| This is a very small thing you can do to make the engine look cleaner, imo. There is an electrical connector above the front valve cover, near the fuel rail's pressure regulator. Normally, this connector is in plain view as it feeds the wiring to the front injectors. Here's a before pic: By temporarily disconnecting and routing the connector under the fuel rail, you can hide it from view, making things look a little less cluttered. It's a small detail, but I've never cared much for the look of exposed wiring.
