| It was an option, not standard equipment. If your car is equipped it shouldn't be hard to find. Usually just a male end of a standard electrical wire near the radiator area or between radiator and grill to make it easy to plug in. | |

| If your car does not have it(very doubtful) you can buy one at NAPA. Bert | |

| I know this is a really REALLY old thread, but I wanted to ask - are the engine block heaters rare? I know most Rivieras were always pretty high optioned but I'm just curious. I have one in mine, which is what lead me to this question. Thanks! | |

| There are no 'old' threads around here, just threads. Feel free to add onto any related thread you find.

| I don't know that they'd be considered "rare". I'll bet a ton of Rivs sold at northern states dealerships got them installed before they left the lot.
Oddly, my Riv has heated seats, original dealership in Florida, but no engine block heater. | |

| Yeah I didn't think they'd be rare. Mine is an original Ohio car so it makes sense. Yours? That doesn't make much sense at all lol. Oh well - you never know when you'll need heated seats though! | |
