With a little ingenuity, the lug studs can be modified to fit past the hub. I'll post some pictures in a few minutes.

you can cut the stud short and press it out -- I would Avoid Pounding on the Hub; and IIRC there is at least one hole in the stationary part of the hub you can push the thing thru but don't quote me.

I didn't cut the studs short (aftermarkets are typically shorter), but I did grind off part of the flange so that it could fit past the hub. An engineer would probably disagree with this approach, but I've been running the modified stud for almost a year with no issues. I don't believe this compromises the integrity of the stud, as they usually shear near the middle, not inside the hub. If concerned, purchase an ARP stud.

I did pound out my old lug stud. It took relatively little force. Tip: freeze the new stud for a couple hours before installation. I pressed it in simply by tightening the wheel nut. Of course, check torque after 100 miles to be sure it's seated correctly.
