| After I shut the car off today when I finished gutting the airbox I opened the hood to fix a connector for my air horns. They came unhooked when I was moving things around apparently. Anyways, when I had the hood up I heard this hissing sound. I don't recall ever hearing it before, but it sounded like it was coming from the side with the S/C snout. Is this normal or is something leaking? It stopped after the car sat for about 15 seconds so I'm unsure what it could be unless I knocked something loose, but that should've been on the other side of the hood. | |

| lol, I'll make sure I've got a shovel handy. I don't usually open the hood after I've driven the car around so I didn't know if it was normal or not. You know, this reminds me of when I was a little kid I always heard the exhaust ticking after the car was shut off and I thought there was something wrong with the car. We had a Plymouth Acclaim that did it really bad and a '93 Bonneville that did it a lot too. I always thought it was so strange and I got out and looked at the car (Even though I had no idea what I was looking for). | |

| i 2nd the A/C as culprit. and the ticking you may hear after a car is turned off is sometimes just the exhaust cooling down and creaking/ticking. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black.
