cranks / doesn't start, fuel pump doesn't prime.

Hi guys, back again with the 96 rive, now at 187k miles. The car had some issues starting with the fuel pump priming every other time I turned the key. When it primed, the car started, and when the pump didn't prime, the car wouldn't start.

Now the pump never primes, and the car never starts. I have a new fp sitting on my table, is there anything else that I need to check, and do the symptoms point to the pump?

I can hear the relay click to turn it on, and have swapped a known good relay into the socket just for good measure.

ses light is on, but codes point to an egr valve. Car runs fine when it is running otherwise.

fuel pump did it. Also alleviated a feeling of hesitation at lower rpms that I had been experiencing for quite some time.

How GM/Delphi designed these fuel pumps not to quit suddenly is beyond me.

By the way James, what brand FP did you get?
