| I have a 97 riviera and i don't know whether or not it has the heavy duty tranny or the standard one. please someone help with how i can find out. | |

| In '97 they converted to the 4T65E-HD for the SC cars. The N/A might have stayed with 4T65E. | |

| yes, our 96's are HD, they are controlled via the vacuum system unlike the 97+ with are electronically controlled. | |

| Easiest way to check is to look at the sticker on your trunk spare tire cover and look at the RPO code list. | |
