| Hey Everyone! Chris here but call me CeeKay. I'm 25 ( soon to be 26 tomorrow!) and live in Port St. Lucie, FL I own a 1997 Diamond White Riv with 79,000m. I love this car. The only thing I dislike is the seating position and the "wallowly" stock ride. Besides that I love my riv and have had it for 4 years. To my disapointment, My riv was in an accident before i owned it and it took me 3 1/2 years to figure out or at least to sink in. See, things seems to be misaligned and there is overspray on certin rubber pieces. The paint on the trunk and roof is badly chipped. This made me think more then twice for tradinding it in for another car. I tried to find another riv. I wanted a 98, black or red or even another Diamond White. I found a few with low low miles and those great ebay ones but were always either STATES away or they wanted full cash. :-( in 4 years I had no major repairs untill the past few months when I had to replace my radiator and heat-something pipe asosiated with it. Also, just put on a new alternator ( from the ORIGINAL stock 1997 one) tonight in the Sears parking lot ( I work there..lol) I am having a problem with that now which you can read under Engine & Repair Section. Please check it out and tell me what you think. Its titled " "Alternator Woes" The frustrating thifg with my Riv is that I keep in in the best condition that my free time allows me but since i am 99% positive that this car was in an accident ( No carfax record but that doesn't mean anything. If its not reported, no carfax.) I have to invest the time and money to fix or correct things that regular riv owners dont. So besides mods, i have to correct other problems My dash overhang and doors do not line up at all, my truck is a little misaligned, my a-piller's fabric is sagging, trunk is pealing, roof is pealing. left rear tire is cocked to the side. Besides the paint, if you seen my car, you would say "it looks fine" but I would have to point everything out. The engine on the other hand has been great. Anyhow, Just introducing myself and venting at the same time. just my luck I have to have car trouuble around my birthday..lol hey, at least its running again. Anyhow, Any other Florida members?? WE NEED TO ADVERTISE! I seen at least 6+ other Riv's here in town and 5 of them are "younger" people. Let's get the word out. Hell, I'll start a Florida division! ;-) Take Care Guys! I Have been looking for a group like this for 4 years!! Finally our own group and not a "section" on a GTP or Regal site..lol Peace -C E E K A Y | |

| Welcome... and Happy Birthday Chris!
As for the door alignment, have you tried adjusting the door catch position? It's very easy to do with the correct Torx bit. I did mine in the Sears parking lot, lol.
Glad you found us. Just wondering, was it the Youtube video that led you to our site? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

The Florida Suncoast is a colloquial name for the west-central and southwest peninsular Florida coastal area between Tarpon Springs to the north, and Naples to the south, and includes the Tampa Bay area.

| Hey AA, the misalignment is prett drastic. I will post some pics when I get a chance. I dont want the doors to looks offset to compensate for my frame being bent or whatever the heck happened. After this post I will move related questions to teh right section but In the meantime, where exactly do i adjust the door catch position? the door "sill" is lower then the "dash sill". Thanks man! Hey, any of you florida guys want to get together, leme know!

| Don't think the door catch will fix upper/lower alignment, but it can bring the door in or out when it's latched. Mine was about .20" out when I bought the car. Now it's flush. Hope this helps. Let us know if you figure out how to adjust up/down. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |
