I wish my riv' shifted like you guys say it should. But I'm quite certain that it does stay in the gears it claims to be in based on super-enforced slow speeds and high rpm's.
Unfortunately, it doesn't hit OD at all when the engine light is on. Now when the light goes out, the car doesn't coast, always, it will work normally w/OD and cruise until I come to the stop. It is when I stop that I have to rev' for the engine light to get back in gear.
From 1-2 gears there is no change, from 2-3 it shifts, but feels like it may be 1-3, or perhaps it is already in second when it's saying first, and its shifting from 2-3, from 3-D its' no different until the engine light goes out, and then the rpm's go down. Anyone have any more insight on this dire situation?
I've been letting my Riv' sit for a while now, saving up for mass repairs inc tranny rebuild, supercharger service, belts, plugs, wires, ac,... ect.
Much love for my 98' Tercel to fill in for the sick riv' though
