Drivers door round vent thingy missing 1 flap Console rear upper vent missing... Outside that as far as Im aware I got an engine issue.

| Hey, that's the color of my hood.
I've seen a similar Riv here at the tower where I work. Looks good.
Now how much did you pay?
and no matter what condition Rivs I see, the actual headlights always look good.

| wow that interior is in great shape. ed morad can get most of the interior stuff for you. ...and by engine issue you mean it's not S/C? maybe for the price you got it for you can drop in a S2 motor/tranny? _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Well unless I can get a motor and transmission with under 60K miles on it with computer and all necessary things for $800 or less it will stay N/A.
As for price I paid $500 for it.
guy originally wanted $1K but its not worth it... Obviously...

| Looks excellent, you stole it for $500. What's so wrong that you didn't think it was worth a grand? | |

| Well it only blue books for $2500 in excellent shape. Fair puts it at $1800.
To pay $1,000 for it then an $800 motor and figure my times worth something, not a good deal.
I did get the plug wires and battery in tonight. I got it to start! Yay!
The noise it makes is something ferocious though... Im not sure WTH it is but it doest sound good.
It has a loud like cackle and it idles wonderful? Whatever it is its in front in the heads to the left *I think*...
Going to try and have a mechanic look at it tomorrow to get an idea. Normally I do all my own work as I can (if I know whats wrong!) but being its cold out I might just let the shop do this one. If its not worth repairing I will just do a motor swap.
Bottom like is if I can repair it by dropping the oil pan or through the valve cover I will do it. If I gotta pull the head off- then I will just swap motors. The head gaskets and Intake gaskets are pricey IMO.
BTW the car has almost 119K on it. And yes everythign seems to work but the radio- which Im replacing anyhow.

| cracked exhaust manifold? I'd agree with Albert on this one, though.. the balancers are known for going out. | |

| Score thanks for the info. So I will look at the balancer closer tonight. The flex plate... Mmmmm that will suck. I gotta pull the motor or at least separate the halves to do that one What I get out of the video's is this: If the noise is still there at higher than idle RPM probably the balancer. If its not probably the flex plate. | |
