Well, it took almost a month longer than expected, but my bullet proof series one is finally done! I have had alot of problems along the way which began with the transmission and a EGR tube. After i finally got done with the swap - no easy undertaking for one person - I could not get the car to run at all. A miriad of things were running through my head from did I get the timing right after the rocker swap to am I an idiot who just hooked something up totally ass backwards. It turned out to be the latter of the two. SO I had some wires crossed up and the cracked EGR tube which by the way was very hard to find, the car fired right up and ran beautifully. I was so proud that I built this completelt by myself and that it actually runs! I have been thinking of as many ways as possible to rack up miles on this car to get it broke in, So, heres the work performed; series one engine forged JE pistons, forged crank and rods, ported polished heads, ported polished M62, hardened stainless valves 13 lb pulley - bad idea - walbro 255 fuel pump, MSD 2220 fuel pressure regulator, and rebuilt 21lb injectors. Also, ECM flash by Sinister Performance and a power steering pump from Napa. So I have gapped the car out once and it definately has gained at least 75hp I hope more though. I will have the car in the Santaclause Shootout at Hub City dragway on the 20th in the FWD class - pretty limited only other cars so far, the only ones are a series 2 GTP Grand Prix, and a few Honda Civics. They will probably beat me, but I really hope to beat them out with my tall second gear. Wish me luck guys...

Thnks man. I will have pics up as soon as my work and weather permits. We have been having rotten weather down here. I reall hate to post pics on my cars body - the weather has been rough on it lately.. also, my trim piece behind my passenger decided to move on to a new life somewhere on Interstate 59 last weekend headed back from Slidell. Where can I get that piece from? The car looks really bad with that missing, and i want to get it replaced asap. Again, I will have pics hopefully by tomorrow.
