| AFAIK seat covers are the kind of thing you would normally get done at a local upholsterer, not buy as a new part.
What kind of damage do your covers have?

| you should still be able to get the leather/fabric for the seats as "yard goods" - an older GM counterperson could help you find them. The yard goods used to be an "out of fiche call" item.
Once doing that it (finding it not buying any) should not be that hard to find an upholstery shop to repair the seat cover or make one. Let the upholsterer buy the needed leather directly from GM or from an alternate supplier in matching color, unless it's easier to just order it from the dealer. You may need to order about twice as much as you think you need, given variations in leather, and you may hit a minimum order requirement.
Alternatively if you need fabric try these guys:
http://www.originalauto.com/index.htm
and if it is leather seat cover sets you want try these guys:
http://www.auto-interior.com/seatcvrindex.htm
If you work with the leather guys they will do custom embrodery (a Buick logo?) and 2-tone for you. For instance you may have a black car with a tan interior. You could get your new seat covers in black and tan to match including tan vinyl for the door panels if you need it. You will also have to negotiate with them, probably, to do the bucket seats (the site shows the 60/40 seats, which hardly anyone has)

| You might be able to fix them with Leatherique products (leatherique.com IIRC). If you've got more time than money. | |

I second what Jack wrote. If you can tie up the car for a weekend you can fix cracked/checked seats permanently and VERY completely with Leatherique products. http://www.leatherique.com is the site. At least do yourself a favor and look at their site before you decide. Albertj

| It definitely works as long as the leather is not rotted or torn, but you MUST follow the instructions and not skip any steps. It is easy but a little time consuming. You MUST do the preparation and crack filling and not just slap on the dye and you must finish the repairs in the time allotted - not quicker and not slower.
The worst rants I've seen about Leatherique were from back in 2003, it's here:
http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/256120/301203.html
In that time frame if I am not mistaken the founder's health was failing.
Consequently, I recommend them; you can get the advice you need by calling the phone number on their web site. They can be a bit prickly but they are technically sound.
Those of you looking for just cleaning and maintenance - also have a look at:
http://www.croftgate.com/cgi-bin/store/CROstore.cgi?user_action=link&link=mainpage
in case dealing with a small family operation is not your cup of tea.

| just for reference, some p/n:
Format -
name, p/n, list price USD/gmpd price USD
hog rings 4876466, 0.72/0.43 (each - buy from JCWhitney instead, they're WAAAY less pricey) bulk leather - 95-97 - blue ultrasoft sierra, 12514239, 1.25/0.74 (inch? foot? yard? dont know...) bulk leather - 95-97 - teal us sierra, 12525795, same/same bulk leather - 98 - red, 12454924, same/same
there are a bunch more #s, tell counter person use the computer and look in Group 15.504 "bulk genuine leather"
As for carpet -
bulk carpet - 95 - graphite, 20502438, discontinued I think bulk carpet - 98 - gray 'trentwood', 12529891, 50.08/29.70 bulk carpet - 97 + 99 - red 'trentwood' G51i, 12534376, discontinued I think bulk carpet - 96 - red 'trentwood' G79i, 12529895, 50.08/29.70
again there are a bunch more numbers, this should get the counterperson to find what's available.
Gig 'em (for you Aggies)

| what year? For 95 you are hosed, they are all discontinued. For other years it actually seems to depend on if GM is using those colors in a current (~5 yrs) car.
In any event if you actually want the yard goods, part of the problem is gonna be finding a counter person who can work the ordering system. Given the group number and so on that person will be able to find leather by the yard. I do not have access to teh cross-references - for instance, if they are gettign the same color/style leather from a new vendor they will put it under a new part number and I won't see it.
Point is you tell me what year ASAP and next time I can get to the fiche of course I'll look it up but it will take you less time to just print off what's here and get a knowledgable counter person to find it, because of the likelihood of changes/substitutions. You'll also find the build sticker (under the spare tire cover panel in your trunk) really hepful, as it will have the color codes for the trim assuming your spare tire cover is the one came with the car, the sticker is still on it and readable, and assuming the car trim was not changed for some reason like, I don't know, maybe your car's rebuilt. Anyway, the trim code would not hurt either sometimes there is a mid-year change and what was tan in August is not the tan in November.

| Okay - Your tag says AS7 (delux interior, bucket seats - they call it "45/45 front split") with "medium neutral II" (color 564, trim 56i) ultrasoft leather/sierra grain vinyl. There were 2 neutral colors shown for those codes. I think the vinyl the neutral 12529969 ultrasoft sierra, 1.25/0.74.
yours is the G564 bulk leather is p/n 12454925, same/same. So you might want to order this stuff through gmpartsdirect.com or the dealer. You will need to email GMPD and tell them how many yards of the stuff you want so that you can get the 'quantity' adjusted accordingly. They sort of explain that on their web site, but not as pertains to yardage.
The matching neutral color Prestwick fabric is p/n 12529971, but is is not shown as available in GMPD.
Your carpet is G56i neutral trentwood p/n 12529890, also not in GMPD.
So now, unfortunately you are still in the same boat (have to talk with a counterperson or email the GMPD ones) but there you are regarding the numbers.

| Steve - as a rule of thumb measure the square inches of the area to be repaired and order twice that amount so you have a chance to match the grain and such.
The more you need to re-do the less excess you need. If you need to replace a square yeard then 1.5 or so square yards will do.
Remember that leather comes in hides that don't all measure the same. So don't wig out when the parts guy figures out the price.

I have, it works really good. Now would be a good time to give this product a try. There is a huge discount they are offering. I wish I would have waited a month but I just tried this on my seats that were pretty worn and creased but not cracked. Sorry I don't have before and after pics. I only ordered the 2 stage cleaning products not the entire repair kit. The directions tell you to let the product sit on the seats for a few hours in the sun. It was partly cloudy and cold when I tried this so results probably could have been better. That being said it did take out discoloration and cleaned the seats better than anything Ive ever used. The seats are really soft now and all the staining and discoloration are gone....my interior looked almost like the earlier pics in this thread. I would definitely recommend giving this product a try since it is cheap right now. It wont make creases magically disappear but it cleans the shit out of everything really well and wasn't as messy as I expected. My seats feel like new leather.

Bob - yeah, Leatherique stuff works if you do what they say.
Matthew, my guess is the dirt's gone but the creases are there to stay if all you do is clean.

| Hey Albert Ihave been going round and round with them today a got e-mail that said this
Hi Steve, According to General Motors, you need to place 2 orders. Each order should be for a quantity of 24. Ordering that way will get you two pieces 24X36. Speaking with the agent at GM today, he clarified that the material is sold by the linear inch. I hope my explanation is clear. This could be very confusing. Let me know if there is any thing else I can help with. The seat cushions have been discontinued by GM and are no longer available. Thanks Floyd, GmpartsDirect.com
the price is .74 per linear inch I asked for a price he does not know says put it in the site calac but it comes only with .74 per i have to try and call them direct
